Tom Cermak, Coastal Outreach Specialist, joined PASG in 2012. He works on projects pertaining to sustainable land-use development, open space and recreational land conservation, and water quality improvement. Tom has also taken the lead on projects that identify and manage invasive species and recycle shrink-wrap used annually for boat storage, thereby keeping it from the waste stream. He has also managed part-time staff involved with the collection of visitor information data from Presque Isle State Park users in order to determine the direct economic impact of the park on the Erie region. Cermak is skilled in the use of GIS and supports other staff, constructing maps and conducting other analyses. He graduated from Thiel College with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science.
