Pennsylvania Sea Grant partnered with  Master Walleye Circuit (MWC)  and local area students at two fishing tournaments to help prevent the spread of AIS. The students held boat wash stations as a way to educate the tournament anglers and raise awareness about preventing the spread of aquatic invasive species, all while fundraising for their groups!

Students from the Bradford Area High School Criminal Justice club paved the way and was our first group to hold a boat wash station at the MWC fishing tournament at Kinzua on July 2014. It was a hot day, but these students managed to wash over 20 boats!

A group of local Sea Scouts from Huron, Ohio held a boat wash station for MWC tournament participants on September 27, 2014. These students washed more than 65% of the boats registered! GREAT JOB GUYS!
