	UPCOMING EVENTS AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES: Schuylkill Watershed Congress Saturday, March 1st, 2008 with field trips to be held Sunday, March 2nd, 2008 Montgomery County Community College - West Campus Pottstown, Pennsylvania The Schuylkill Watershed Congress, a gathering of watershed citizens interested in understanding, protecting and restoring their local streams, is held annually on the first Saturday in March. The event features a diverse program with concurrent and poster sessions covering a broad range of watershed topics. The Congress audience, which hails from throughout the Schuylkill Watershed, across Pennsylvania and from as far away as Baltimore, Maryland, Ithaca, New York, and Providence, Rhode Island, attends the Congress seeking new information on watershed protection. In 2007, Congress attendance hit the 200 mark for one-day attendance. For 2008, the Keynote Speaker will be John K. Jackson, Senior Research Scientist, at the Stroud Water Research Center. His presentation is titled, "Is a Cold Water Fishery by any other name still as clean a stream? A look at Pennsylvania's complex system for labeling streams and what these labels mean for a stream's biodiversity, management, and protection."
