2026 Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship Application Period is NOW OPEN!

Application Deadline is February 19, 2025

(HARRISBURG, PA) – Pennsylvania Sea Grant is excited to announce that the application period for the 2026 Sea Grant Knauss Marine Policy fellowship is now open.

Graduate students are encouraged to consider the opportunity which provides a one-year, paid experience for highly qualified early career professionals to work on issues related to coastal, marine and Great Lakes science and policy in offices within the executive or legislative branch of government in Washington, D.C. 

Any student, regardless of citizenship, is eligible to apply, as long as they are enrolled towards a degree in a graduate program between the onset of the 2024 Fall term and February 19, 2025; the graduate degree will be awarded through an accredited institution of higher education in the United States or U.S. Territories; and the student has an interest in ocean, coastal, and Great Lakes resources and in the national policy decisions affecting those resources.

Applicants should reach out to Sean Rafferty, Ph.D., Research Director, no later than January 17, 2025. The application deadline is February 19, 2025.
